2 weeks agoI decided to start my aligner treatment and chose Smile Concept after reading so many great reviews. So far, my experience has been fantastic. The whole team is friendly, professional, and welcoming. I recently had my wisdom tooth removed by Dr. Angie and it was honestly an amazing experience..I felt no pain at all, the procedure was quick, and she was incredibly caring and professional throughout. I couldn’t be happier with the care I’ve received. Definitely a 10/10 experience!

a month agoI came here nearly 10 years ago in 2016/2017 to consult about Damon Braces after already consulting and quoting two other orthodontic practices around the city for braces. Mind you I was already an adult as I did not have the privilege as a teen to have my parents organise this for me. I had my wisdom tooth all removed before properly I decided to properly start consulting for braces (although I always wanted to have braces done especially for my lower teeth). Out of the three practices, I especially remember Smile Concepts being the only option and best option that matches my vision as well. The other two practices had mentioned that I would need to have two teeth on the bottom and two teeth on the top removed or more to be able to get my teeth straightened and do braces. I did my research online and found Damon braces which brought me here to Smile Concepts. I didn’t leave a review back then although I was truly deeply happy, content and grateful with the whole process and the results. I remember the price also being affordable for myself as I had saved up this from casual work while full-time studying and the other two practices well maybe meeting the price but the expectation of removing teeth to be able to straighten my teeth or wear braces was out of line. Now 10 years later, I’m back to get my retainers fixed (I had accidentally broken them while flossing at home, but it was also time). Because I had moved, my usual local dentist had quoted me for replacing the retainers, so I called Smile Concepts after 10 years to get it done instead. I’m super happy with their service and the results and the realistic vision against price. I can’t even reiterate how appreciative I am of the existence of this place. Dr. Manish as well who replied my emails directly after when I was on exchange for a year right after I got my braces off. They were in contact with me when I lost my retainers or had any issues or questions the whole year after. Then I disappeared until now so I need to make this review whilst I’m back here getting my retainers replaced. Thank you!

a month agoAfter extensive experience with cosmetic dentistry with Smile Concepts, I would not recommend them. Originally I had a consultation for smile correction and the plan Dr Kinnar proposed was solid, using invisalign mostly instead of veneers which other dentists had tried to upsell me to. I underwent gum laser recontouring and whitening as well as a single veneer (which was necessary to replace a composite cap) which all went well. However my main concern was a tooth which was quite high up, which had been pulled down from my jaw using invisalign; I remember having to fight to get a fixed retainer on this tooth, explaining that a removable retainer would not keep this in place without an attachment to pull it down. Seemed like complete common sense to me and I was a bit baffled I had to explain this to them. 5 years later and my wire snaps in my mouth on my particular problem tooth that had been pulled down (this happens, it was the rough lifespan of the wire anyway). I get an appointment at Smile Concepts next day to get it reglued to avoid any relapse. About 4 months later I noticed that the tooth had moved, nearly back to its original position - I later came to learn that the wire hadn’t been fully removed, and had been reglued with the snapped bit still underneath, compromising the integrity of the glue. At this point I was 6 weeks away from moving overseas, so knew my time was limited. I spoke to Dr Kinnar who suggested that he could fix it with invisalign before I left the country. I offered instead to get a veneer, knowing it could definitely be done before I left, and not wanting to move with invisalign in progress. He promised me it could be done on time and charged me $500 for the invisalign. I go to my fitting appointment 2 weeks later and am given 13 trays (for a 13 week program) - I mention I have 4 weeks, total, to finish my program including retainer fitting and the orthodontist said the majority of the movement will happen in the first half of the trays, and to just do the first four. I ended up pushing back and saying I needed to move to a 4/5 day cycle instead of 7 days to get through more, because I could see from the aligners that the result would not be really achieved until tray 10. I end up getting to tray 7 for my appointment a week before I leave the country, and walk in expecting the wire to be put on same day. Dr Kinnar first suggested that I continue treatment to finish all of my trays. When I told him I didn’t have time, he said the fixed retainer needs to be scanned for and then takes 2 weeks to arrive - so there was no possibility it was ever going to be done in my timeline. He ended up taking the attachments off and fitting a small wire on my problem tooth at my insistence, but I now need to find (and pay) a new dentist overseas to fit a fixed retainer for my total mouth when it should have been included in my cost here. I don’t even have the result I wanted (and would have received if I’d gotten a veneer as I suggested) and now will need to pay for additional work. There are also parts of attachments left on my teeth and exposed wire sticking out in my mouth. It’s not even the money; it’s the complete lack of care that they demonstrated when I said I was working to a timeline, and a plan was sold to me that was never even possible, which has added significantly to what is already a stressful period planning a move. I would not recommend Smile Concepts as a competent practice.
